To our friends, neighbors, and Listening Room family –
If there’s one thing I’d like you to know during these uncertain times, it’s that the health and wellbeing of our guests, staff and artists, has always, and will always come first. As an involved member of this community and someone who cares deeply for the safety of our city, we have decided to do our part in combating the spread of coronavirus and will be closing our doors effective immediately.
This action comes as a very concerted effort to mandate safe social distancing and ensure we are doing our part to get Nashville back on its feet quickly. While we have assiduously followed, and even gone beyond, the basic guidelines and recommendations for sanitization as outlined by WHO and the CDC, at this time we don’t feel it’s enough. We are a small family-owned business that takes the situation very seriously and cares deeply for our community.
Taking care of our community and the songwriters who make up the fabric of Nashville is what The Listening Room was founded upon. We will continue to pray that there is relief for not only those affected by the virus, but for small businesses who have closed their doors, and for the hospitality community and staff across our city who are unable to work from home or pay their bills during this time.
This was not an easy decision for us to make, but one that we feel is necessary for the health and well-being of everyone during this time. The only way we will get through this is if we do so as a community and everyone complies. Nashville is a strong community, one of the strongest I’ve ever seen, and I know that we will be able to overcome this, so long as we do it together.
Any guests who have purchased tickets to upcoming shows that are now cancelled will receive a gift voucher to use at a later date. We hope that this passes quickly and in the interim that everyone stays safe. Our hearts are with you Nashville.
