Sarah Ames is a country music artist and songwriter born in Northern California. Sarah’s fresh sound takes on a tell-it-like-it-is “California country” vibe, combining a conversational, colorful, and visual lyric, with the sounds of country, rock, and pop. She lists Bonnie Raitt, Faith Hill, and Sheryl Crow as her biggest influences.
As a little girl, Sarah spent most of her time singing, writing her first song at 8 years old. After participating in her first musical at age 10, Sarah’s love for performing grew. Throughout high school, she starred in school musicals, sang demos, and entered radio singing contests.
Sarah then attended the University of Southern California, where she pursued a major in Popular Music Performance. Throughout this intensive program, Sarah honed her music skills through classes and performances with her band, eventually landing the opportunity to open for Steve Miller Band and sing at Dodger Stadium.
After two years of college, Sarah moved to Nashville to pursue an artist career. She quickly landed a lead role in Dierks Bentley’s “Tip It On Back” music video. Sarah spends most of her time in Nashville writing and performing, crafting a sound that is uniquely her own.
